Cyber Anastylosis

The Halicarnassus project reconnects contemporary Bodrum with its layered archaeological and cultural heritage by revealing, rather than concealing, the historic landscape. A lightweight and transparent structure protects the ruins while creating an uninterrupted public observation route and maintaining visual connections across the site. Architectural archetypes such as the column, roof, and tower are reinterpreted to form a contemporary cybersecurity and communication center inspired by the region’s historic network of defensive tower houses. Conceived as an adaptable system rather than a fixed master plan, the project establishes a new architectural language derived from topography, local ornament, and archaeological traces.
