Barkin Karabas is an architect, artist, and design researcher based in Berlin. He investigates the interplay between architecture, digital technologies, and natural systems through installations, digital sculpture, animation, and computational design. He explores how new technologies can create novel spatial experiences and question the traditional separations between the natural and the artificial by working in both physical and virtual media.
Karabas holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Middle East Technical University (METU) and a Master's degree in Design Research from Hochschule Anhalt, completed in collaboration with the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation and Humboldt University. Alongside his independent artistic practice, he works as an architect at Studio Schwitalla, contributing to projects in architecture, urban design, and mobility.
